Therese Haussner, MS, PA-C

Therese Haussner is a board-certified physician assistant who works with Dr. Souweidane on the Weill Cornell Pediatric Brain and Spine team. Therese attended the University of Hartford, where she majored in biology, minored in psychology, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. After graduation she became a nationally certified EMT and worked in the emergency room at Stamford Hospital as a technician with a focus on trauma and cardiac.

Therese completed the Physician Assistant program at Long Island University in Brooklyn, where she received her master’s degree. After becoming board-certified she went to work at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, where she specialized in pediatric neurosurgery and assisted in more than 100 cases in the operating room. In the outpatient setting Therese was the clinical coordinator for a multi-disciplinary spasticity clinic and assisted in running other various clinics, including neuro-oncology, craniofacial, and plagiocephaly.
