The Department of Neurological Surgery has multiple active initiatives to help us advance diversity – on campus, in the clinical setting, and within our research labs.

National Diversity Council
This non-profit organization is an advocate for workforce diversity through training, consulting, programs and  education. 

Safe Zone LGBT Allies
Safe Zone is a Weill Cornell Medicine program designed to improve understanding of the specific issues faced by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) persons. The program provides training for clinical providers and staff, allowing a broad cross section of our community to acquire the knowledge and skills to serve as an LGBT Ally.
