Trailblazers of Neuroscience

The neurosurgeons of the Weill Cornell Brain and Spine Center are often at the forefront of technology: developing and testing new minimally invasive surgical techniques and pushing the boundaries on gene therapy, immunotherapy, and alternate drug delivery techniques. This week they talked about some of the most impressive advances in neuroscience in front of an invitation-only crowd that included some of New York's biggest bold-faced names. The event, "Trailblazers in Neuroscience," was held in the luxurious Fifth Avenue duplex of Mrs. John Gutfreund, who lent her home to Dr. Philip Stieg and faculty members for the event.
