Dr. Roberta Marongiu Named to LAMP Program

Roberta Marongiu, Ph.D., has been selected to participate in the Weill Cornell 2014-2015 Leadership in Academic Medicine Program (LAMP).  The program is designed to nurture and develop faculty talent and foster leadership skills in young academics.

Dr. Marongiu is an Instructor in Neurological Surgery and a researcher in Dr. Michael Kaplitt’s Molecular Neurosurgery Laboratory, where her research focuses on the genetic causes of Parkinson’s disease  and the development of new gene therapies for Parkinson’s disease. She is also involved with the “Knock Out Parkinson’s”  fund-raising efforts of Rock Steady Boxing NY/LA and the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
