Alexis Diaz is a board-certified physician assistant who provides care for neurological surgery inpatients at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian. Alexis became interested in surgery during high school after having several surgeries herself, and her passion for the care of surgical patients was further confirmed while on clinical rotations.

Alexis earned her undergraduate degree in kinesiology (movement science) with a minor in Spanish from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She went on to work as a patient care technician (PCT) at an acute rehab hospital outside of Chicago, where she had grown up, working primarily with stroke and spinal cord injury patients. Alexis is dedicated to utilizing her experience as a patient, PCT, and now physician assistant to provide her patients and their families with exceptional and compassionate care prior to, during, and after surgery.
