Michelle Chen, PA-C

Physician Assistant

Michelle Chen is a board-certified physician assistant who provides care for neurological surgery inpatients at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is a graduate of the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, with a Master of Science in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants (MSHS PA). During her time in that program, Michelle was the treasurer for the Graduate School Executive Board. She completed her surgical training at various New York City hospitals, including NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Prior to graduate school, Michelle received her undergraduate degree in human biology, with a minor in public health, from Michigan State University, where she was named to the Dean’s List and was a member of the Order of Omega honor society. During her time at Michigan State, she worked as a home health aide for spinal cord injury patients, traveled to Ecuador for a medical mission trip, and worked as a medical assistant in rheumatology. Her passion for surgery, and the operating room, stems from her experience during her clinical rotations. Her previous work with spinal cord injury patients sparked her interest in neurosurgery. As a neurosurgery PA, Michelle is committed to providing exceptional, compassionate, and accessible care to patients and their families.
