Tracey's Story: Neurostimulation for Epilepsy

In the summer of 2014, we reported on one of our epilepsy patients — a woman who received a cranial implant (a Neuropace RNS system) designed to disrupt her seizures before they could propagate. We're delighted to report that, a year and half later, Tracey's life has completely changed now that the implant has virtually eliminated her disabling seizures. Watch this video to see how she's doing, then read Tracey's story, including a 2020 pandemic update, and find out more about surgery for epilepsy at Weill Cornell Medicine
