Dr. Sanchez-Ortiz, a member of the Pediatric Epilepsy Program, is board-certified in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. She specializes in childhood epilepsy syndromes, neurogenetic diseases, epileptic encephalopathies, and intractable epilepsies.
Dr. Sanchez-Ortiz received her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, then completed a General Pediatrics residency in Pediatric Neurology, additional research training, and a Pediatric Neurology Fellowship there. She later completed an Epilepsy Fellowship at the University Hospitals Case Medical Center at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Sanchez-Ortiz is fluent in both English and Spanish.
